My goal is to educate people so they don't have their private information stolen.
I see, the more people who know how to protect
themselves is a way of getting back at hackers and scammers.

Did You Know?

Clicking on a link within an email can allow a hacker to find out where you live.

If you leave Bluetooth enabled on a device, a hacker will be able to track that device.

Everyone is prone to be scammed not just Senior Citizens.
Seniors tend to be scammed a larger amount of money than everyone else.

Internet Safety Tips

Only download files from a trusted source.

Avoid posting private information on social media.

The use of a password manager can help to track and secure your passwords.

Turning off the wifi when you don't need it will stop the attackers from attacking the device.

A broken link on a webpage can be exploited by an attacker to take control of the link's target.

Never access a website via e-mail that store private data. Always navigate to the web site through a known web address.

Use strong passwords with a minimum of eight characters, including upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols.

If you would like to report a text message which is spam. Just forward the message to 7726 and follow messages from your carrier. Verizon, AT&T and T Mobile are carriers that offer this and many others may as well.

Put *67 in front of the phone number you are calling to hide your phone number. This will help keep your number off call lists and protect you from hackers.
